🧹 Clean Tracking Parameters

Toggle 🧹 Clean to strip tracking and analytics parameters from the URL before generating the QR. Produces a shorter, cleaner URL that does not expose tracking data to the person scanning.

⚙️ Up and Running in 4 Steps

A simple four-step process to generate, clean, shorten and share QR codes from any page or link.

1️⃣ Click the Extension Icon
Click the QR Codes Manager icon next to the Chrome address bar. The popup opens and instantly generates a QR code for the current page URL.
2️⃣ Optionally Clean or Shorten
Toggle 🧹 Clean to remove tracking parameters, or ✂️ Shorten to create a shorter URL. Both can be used together. The QR regenerates instantly.
3️⃣ Scan, Copy or Download
Scan the QR with your phone camera, click it to open the page, copy the URL to clipboard, or download the QR as a PNG image.
4️⃣ Right-Click Any Link
Right-click any hyperlink on any page and select “Create QR for this link”. A minimal popup opens with the QR code and Copy / Open / Download PNG actions.

🔒 Does it work offline?
Yes. QR generation and URL cleaning happen locally in the browser. No URLs are sent to external QR APIs. The Shorten feature requires an internet connection.
🧹 What does Clean remove?
UTM tags, gclid, dclid, fbclid, msclkid, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Marketo, Adobe tokens, ref, referrer, source, affiliate and more — 30+ parameters. The original URL is never modified.
✂️ Can I use Clean and Shorten together?
Yes. Enable both toggles and the extension first cleans the URL then shortens it. This gives you the shortest, cleanest possible QR code. Both preferences are saved automatically.
📐 Can I choose the QR size?
Yes. Use the S / M / L / XL buttons in the popup. S (150px) for screen, M (200px) default, L (280px) for slides, XL (400px) for print and posters. Size is saved automatically.

Choose the installation method that works best for you.

From Chrome Web Store

1Open the Chrome Web Store page for QR Codes Manager.
2Click Add to Chrome.
3Confirm by clicking Add extension.
4Icon appears in toolbar. Click it on any page to generate a QR code.
Manual (Developer Mode)

1Download from the product page.
2Extract the ZIP to a folder.
3Go to chrome://extensions/.
4Enable Developer mode.
5Click Load unpacked and select the folder.
6Extension loads and starts working immediately.
